What a pregnant woman should not do?

In the previous blog, we have discussed what is good practice for the pregnant woman. Hence, we got to know what all we should do but what to those practices that a pregnant woman should not do???? Hmm, got it you guys are thinking if you read it right. Are there any habits that pregnant women should not do at all? Well, the answer is yes, there are some habits that can be dangerous for the would-be mother or the baby or even for both of them. It is very difficult to look down upon the old habits and inculcate the new ones.

There are various restrictions imposed by the family, friends, relatives, and well-wishers once then news goes around that they will have a new member soon within the family. And with the news comes so many reinforced notions. Henceforth, which out of them are really necessary to impose on. So, the malpractices that won’t be beneficial or good for the pregnant woman as follows. Every pregnant woman must incorporate it into their daily routine. It will make the journey smooth for the embryo to grow as a fetus.

1. Food sanitation and hygiene

It is very important to not overlook it. Food sanitation and hygiene are very necessary. Owing to the fact, that negligence of it may risk the life of the unborn and would-be mother in danger. Low hygiene may increase the risk of low immunity. Wash your hands before and after eating, was the fruits and vegetables thoroughly before consuming it raw, or if you are planning to cook it as well. Wash all sorts of legumes and pulses under running tap water. Boil water and then consume it. Store the food if any, under high hygienic conditions.

2. Food Safety

Every pregnant woman must peep the dish what’s she is going to eat. This can be done by the guardian as well if in case any. Suppose, fishes are excellent sources of protein has one is going for it. Check out the mercury content. The higher the mercury content the more dangerous it would be for the fetus. Owing to the fact, that high levels of mercury may damage the fetus nervous system. Hence, choose wisely. Anchovies, Salmon, Mackerel, Sardines, Herring are good options to opt from. Keep a check from where are you purchasing it and the way the fishes are stored as it can be contaminated with bacteria. Listeria, E.coli, and Salmonella are the most common ones. These are very hazardous for babies and mother’s health.

3. No refined wheat

Try to avoid refined wheat as much as possible. Its intake may get a spike in the blood which may increase blood glucose levels, which can endanger the growth of the fetus.

4. Avoid fasting

Keeping fast is not advisable at all. Many women do indulge in it India even after telling them not to do so. As per the diet consultant point of view, the long starvation is not recommended. Rather, we keep them small and frequent meals to avoid the load on the stomach and enhance the good digestion and absorption process. Heavy meals, on the contrary, may give heartburn, or some discomfort.

5. Avoid stress completely

It is very important to keep the stress away from a pregnant woman. Stressed woman baby generally possesses emotional and slowed cognitive development.

6. No smoke

Smoking habits of a pregnant woman may get her fetus into distress which may hinder the growth and development of the fetus.

7. Avoid Aerated drinks and alcohol

The pregnant woman must not drink alcohol or aerated beverages at all. Baby’s health may be affected tremendously if the intake of alcohol or aerated beverages were there. The mental and physical growth and development may be challenged by opting for it.

For the steady development of the fetus in the womb, it is advisable to do not to overlook these points. Following onto it may reduce the hurdles and ease the phase of this hormonal change a lot. It is always said better to be safe than to be sorry later.
