Branded or local smart TV –
Now middle-class people mostly buy local smart TVs, because money is saved and hobbies are also fulfilled.
Features of smart TV –
Most of people do not look at the features of a TV like that of a smartphone, only if they have less money and the size is bigger, they consider the TV good.
Such TVs are trash TV. The RAM in these ranges from 500MB to 1GB.
In these, you cannot install more than one or two applications and then you regret that the TV is not big even though it is big, the picture quality is not good, and the sound quality is not there. And if you see a TV with 2GB RAM or more in the market, it is very expensive, then don’t even ask the rate of a branded TV with more RAM.
In these local TVs, RAM ranging from 500MB to 1GB is second-hand i.e. used i.e. taken from some other device, hence you can get these local TVs of sizes up to 32 inches in the market for $100 (Rs.7000+).
If you are buying this kind of Android TV then I would strongly recommend you to buy Chinese garbage.
These do not have more than one or two applications installed, and due to the old RAM, they hang frequently. These TVs also do not get regular software updates, which causes lag in apps.
So save your money and buy a branded smart TV that comes with a guarantee, warranty, more than 2GB RAM, refresh rate picture above 70Hz, and HDMI ARC.
Otherwise, to enjoy smart TV, buy an Android TV box Google TV box, or Hybrid TV box, which you can upgrade from time to time, and will not cost much to upgrade.
What is the disadvantage of smart Android TV?
- Local Smart TVs are imported from China which comes with USED second-hand RAMs or comes with low RAM like 256MB, 512MB, or 1GB RAM.
- Can not use it for more than 2-3 years due to the Android application size increase, and your TV stopped supporting that.
- No android upgrade, so It will stop working after 4-5 years automatically.
- Picture quality will be very bad or dull.
- No screen guard, you may weaken your eyesight.
- No special audio feature.
